Come one, come all and help support the One of A Kind Drumline when we perform Wednesday 9/24 at 7pm out front of the Kiggins theater in downtown Vancouver, WA. We will be filming a live feed for HELLO VANCOUVER and we need as many people to come out and help support us during our segment. Vancouver, please come help support your One of A Kind Drumline…

A special thanks goes out to MARK MATHIAS and BEACHES restaurant as well as to Mark’s partners: MALETIS BEVERAGE, RIVERVIEW COMMUNITY BANK, THE COLUMBIAN, GARAGE MOTOR SPORTS, LES SCHWAB, and TODD’S AUTO BODY who also helped to support the efforts of refurbishing the beautiful One of A Kind Drumline truck which was donated for the program to use at a recent Beaches Summertime Cruise in at PIR in support of the community.

We cannot thank Mark and all of the amazing people who helped make this possible for us as it has been a wish of ours for many years to be able to have our own truck to haul our equipment and get the name out to the public and promote the work we are doing in support of our  community.

The One of a Kind Drumline performed in Salem Oregon at the “Dia de el nino” (Day of the child) at Salem’s First Free Methodist Church for children and families with special needs. This was an amazing experience for all in attendance as the drumline truly appreciated having the opportunity to work with so many amazing kids.

The One of a Kind Drumline family would like to thank Mert & Carolyn Meeker and the amazing staff at Lapellah Restaurant and Bar for their first class service and support as the hosts of the fundraising event which was a huge success on all levels. If you haven’t been to Lapellah yet then you definitely need to check it out. Amazing patio and courtyard.

Special thanks to George Killian and family for coming out to support the program and to their granddaughters for bringing their energy to the group as guest drummers. It was such a joy to have them play with the kids and is a reminder to all of us of the importance to never forget the happiness that we can share when we experience the art of creating music and positive energy with others. Thank you for sharing your happiness with us as it was a great day.

We would also like to thank Keith for representing the King PTO, Judge Zimmerman, Mrs Thomas for representing King, the Lincolns Beard boys, E Rice, Mr. B from Washington and everyone else that came out to support the ooakdl family. Our lives are even greater because of all that each of you has done to support our goals.

The Snowman Foundation LogoJust when you thought Winter was over, the One of a Kind Drumline was visited by a snowman. The One of a Kind Drumline would like to thank The Snowman Foundation for their generosity with their donation to purchase more drums and drum gear.

The Snowman Foundation is a program founded by Composer Michael Allen Harrison in 1999 to help support musical programs around the Northwest. The foundation has helped a lot of musical programs out and we would like to thank them for their efforts to keep music alive in the schools and community and for their support of the One of a Kind Drumline!
